By downloading, installing, or using WoofMates ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App. You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use WoofMates. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable age requirement.
WoofMates is a mobile application that allows dog owners to coordinate walks, track their dogs' digestive health, and connect with other dog owners. The App is provided by WoofMates ("we", "us", "our"). The App is designed for personal, non-commercial use only. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without prior notice.
The App uses anonymous authentication by default via Firebase Authentication. You may link your account with Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In to preserve your data across devices. Account linking is required to purchase a Premium subscription or to join as a co-owner. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or other restrictions. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts created in violation of these Terms.
WoofMates allows two users to link their accounts as co-owners to jointly manage shared dogs. By linking accounts:
• Both co-owners can view shared dog profiles, including names, breeds, ages, and photos • Both co-owners can log and view poop tracker entries for shared dogs • Each co-owner can only edit or delete their own dogs' profiles • Poop logs from both co-owners are merged and visible to both parties • Either co-owner can unlink at any time, which revokes shared access
You are solely responsible for choosing whom you link with. We are not responsible for any data shared between co-owners or any disputes arising from the co-owner relationship.
You agree not to:
• Misuse the service or use it for any unlawful purpose • Send unwanted, harassing, abusive, or excessive notifications to other users • Attempt to access other users' data, accounts, or private information • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App • Use the App to collect, harvest, or aggregate data about other users without their explicit consent • Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the App's infrastructure or servers • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the App • Impersonate another person or entity • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
We reserve the right to investigate, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
WoofMates offers optional premium features via in-app subscription purchases managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Pricing: • Subscription prices are displayed at the time of purchase in your local currency as determined by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. • Available plans include monthly and yearly options.
Payment & Renewal: • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. • Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
Cancellation: • You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Account Settings (App Store or Google Play). • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then. • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Free Trial (if applicable): • If offered, the free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled.
Price Changes: • We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued subscription after the price change constitutes acceptance.
You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including dog profiles, photos, poop logs, and favorite places. By using the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to store, process, and display your content solely as necessary to provide and improve the service.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to any content you upload, including photos. You are solely responsible for the content you create and share through the App.
The App, including its design, source code, graphics, illustrations, icons, user interface, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of WoofMates and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the App or any part of it without our prior written consent.
All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
WoofMates uses the following third-party services to operate:
• Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, data storage, cloud storage, push notifications • Google AdMob (Google LLC) — advertising (free tier only) • RevenueCat Inc. — subscription management • Expo (Expo Inc.) — push notification delivery
Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party services. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or security of third-party service providers.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
The poop tracker feature is for informational and entertainment purposes only and does NOT constitute veterinary, medical, or health advice. Never rely on the App for diagnosing or treating health conditions in your dog. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health concerns.
Health reminders, vaccination schedules, and medication tracking are provided as a convenience tool only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any reminders or notifications. You are solely responsible for tracking your dog's health needs and consulting a qualified veterinarian. We are not liable for missed vaccinations, medications, or any health consequences resulting from reliance on the App's reminder features.
Walk coordination notifications are provided as a convenience only. We are not responsible for your safety, your dog's safety, or any incidents that occur during walks coordinated through the App.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WOOFMATES, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Loss of data or content • Health decisions made based on poop tracker data • Missed, delayed, or failed walk notifications • Injuries or incidents during walks coordinated through the App • Unauthorized access to your account • Actions of other users, including co-owners and pack members • Interruption or unavailability of the service
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WoofMates, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
• Your use of or inability to use the App • Your violation of these Terms • Your violation of any rights of any third party • Content you create, upload, or share through the App • Your interactions with other users, including co-owners and pack members • Any disputes between you and other users
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including dog profiles, photos, poop logs, pack connections, favorite places, and all associated records.
IMPORTANT: Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately in your device's Account Settings (App Store or Google Play) before deleting your account. We are not responsible for continued charges resulting from failure to cancel your subscription prior to account deletion.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at support@woofmates.app.
If unresolved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to the competent courts of the Republic of Serbia.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WoofMates regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms may not be assigned or transferred by you without our prior written consent.
